September - Round Robin Demos
Four members of the guild shared their expertise with the rest of us, showing us applique techniques, hand quilting, using panels, and making One Block Wonder quilts. Fun was had by all, and everyone learned a lot! Thanks to those who did demos!
August - Quilters' Day Out Update
Vivian Armstrong, Co-Chair for the area Quilters' Day Out committee, visited us and gave the latest scoop on the event that is planned for March 12, 2022.
After having to take a year off due to COVID, everyone is excited for the event to return! There will be a Quilt of Valor show, with quilts to be donated to the QoV Foundation, and the committee is asking all guilds - and any individual who wishes - to make a quilt for the show. Quilts of Valor is also the chosen charity for this year, and they will accept good quality fabric, thread, batting, backing fabric, blocks, as well as cash.
The Viewers' Choice Challenge theme is "Spring is in the Air" and 1st place winners in each of three categories will receive a monetary award.
More information about all of the events planned can be found on their website.

July - Playing Quilters' Strip Poker
No photos were taken this month, but everyone had fun exchanging Jelly Roll strips according to the roll of the dice. We had guests from Anderson County, and they joined in the fun! When the fun was over, some members ended up with a nice stash of strips, several exchanged strips among themselves, and others donated to the stash at the Extension Office. All in all, it was an enjoyable way to spend the morning!
June - Making a Portable Design Board
This month Lynn showed us how to make a Portable Design Board using foamcore, felt, and a fabric strip for binding. Everyone had lots of fun making one!
May - Making a Portable Block Carrier
Lynn Martin, our Vice-President in charge of programming, showed us all how to make a block carrier for when we need to transport our blocks-in-progress to places like retreat. Everyone had fun making theirs, and it was great to see all the different fabric choices!
